Pom Pom Camp Description


Pom Pom Camp consists of nine luxury canvas safari tents elevated on decks. Each Meru style tent has en-suite facilities, ceiling fans and an open air shower. Each tent is nestled under shade from the surrounding trees and all have a view over the surrounding waterways. A private viewing deck with chairs are outside each tent, allowing for a private moment to soak up the surroundings.
The main building is designed to blend in with the environment and constructed of thatch and canvas and consists of a lounge, dining, bar and pool area, as well as a gift shop and a boma area. There is a plunge pool and loungers to use while relaxing on a hot afternoon.

Pom Pom Camp Game Viewing and Wildlife Activities


The Okavango Delta is renowned to offer some of the best game viewing on the planet. Activities include game drives, night drives, mokoro excursions and guided bush walks. The area offers incredible game viewing and all game activities will be accompanied by experienced and professional guides. Guests can expect to see all the major predators, like lion, leopard, hyena, wild dog, crocodile as well as a variety of big game. The area has an abundance of elephant as well as hippo, buffalo and plains game including impala and lechwe as well as giraffe, zebra and wildebeest. The bird life is prolific. Nocturnal animals such as serval, civet and genet may also be seen on night drives.

Mokoro trips are a fantastic way to explore the Okavango Delta. This canoes glide silently through crystal clear waterways always searching for the game that lives in and around the Delta. Pom Pom Camp offers game drives within their private concession area. These happen in the morning and the evening, stretching into the night. This gives guest the opportunity to spot the elusive game that only comes out at night.
Fishing opportunities are available at Pom Pom camp, with the guides showing guests the perfect spot. The Delta is a catch and release area.
Guides will also take interested guests on a nature walk into the surrounding bush, giving a very different perspective on game watching!
