Game Viewing

The Footsteps experience allows you to get your feet on the ground, leave your vehicle behind, and to really appreciate the sights, sounds and smells of the Okavango. You will be accompanied by an armed professional guide at all times. It is also a great way to see birds and to enjoy quality game viewing, as walking offers you the opportunity to appreciate the wildlife of the area at your own pace.

The main emphasis on staying here is walking but guests have a vehicle and mokoros at their disposal allowing them to make up their stays up how they want.

Wildlife Activities

Walking in the Delta's wilderness is the highlight of a 'true safari' experience. No special training is required, as distances travelled are resemblant of early days, where the focus is on exploration and discovery - each morning tracking fresh spoor to reveal the night's events. Other possible activities include game-drives, mokoro trips or fishing, which vary throughout the year. The Footsteps walking experience combines well with the luxuries offered by either Shinde or Kanana.
