Camp Description

Khwai Bush Camp offers luxury mobile tents with en-suite facilities consisting of a bucket shower and toilet. The tents as well as the bathrooms are insect proof. The bathrooms are permanently attached to the tents and have a roof. Guests are not expected to participate in any camp tasks or preparing meals. Experienced camp staff is available during the day and evening to see to every guests' need. The camp offers scrumptious cuisine prepared in traditional bush-style and will be served in a separate dining tent. Guests are taken on a game drive while the camp is being moved to the next location and guests will arrive at a pre-erected camp site.

Game Viewing

Khwai is a community run private concession, which forms the eastern border of the Moremi Game Reserve along the Khwai River. This river is the only source of water for miles attracting an abundance of wildlife. The area around Khwai is renowned to offer some of the best game viewing in Africa. Large concentrations of elephant and buffalo can be seen on a regular basis. The predator viewing is very good and guests can expect to see lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog as well as many antelope species. The birdlife is prolific in the area.

How to Get there

ExpertBotswana can arrange flights to Botswana from Johannesburg or Cape Town into Maun or Kasane, where most safaris start and end. Transfers from Maun/Kasane are done by light aircraft into the camps. Inter-camp transfers are done by light aircraft. Guests will fly into the camp's airstrip where they will be met by a guide and vehicle for their road transfer to the camp.
