Camp Description

Meno A Kwena is a fully serviced safari camp offering seven safari tents with semi-attached bathrooms, including a shower and flush toilet each, are set on the edge of the riverbank. The camp staff at Meno A Kwena, guides and support crew all help to maintain the safari experience with care and dedication to the guests' every need. The cuisine is prepared in a way it is as much of a safari experience as all the other aspects of life in the bush. Meals are cooked on the campfire - BBQ Botswana beef fillets, BBQ chicken, BBQ chops, grilled fish, and these are supplemented with fresh vegetables and salads. Puddings, cheese, biscuits and fresh tropical fruits end the meals on a sweet note. Picnic lunches are supplied for day trips into the national parks

Game Viewing

The safari operation incorporates three protected wildlife sanctuaries in the Kalahari, The Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pans National Parks, and Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The zebra and wildebeest migration travel along the Boteti during the dry season (May to November) and tiny pools of water are the only surface water available to them. Resident and nomadic wildlife includes the big and small cats, impala, kudu, warthog, monkeys, jackal, and occasionally wild dog, elephant and giraffe. Bird life is excellent along the ravine thanks to the lush woodlands of acacia, lead wood and terminalia.

Wildlife Activities

Activities at Meno A Kwena include guided bush walks and cultural activities with a local community. Game drives in 4x4 vehicles are also available to the nearby Ngandi Community Trust Area to full-day safaris with a picnic into Makgadikgadi National Park or Nxai Pan National Park.
