Linyanti Savuti Area
Introduction
The Savuti region covers an area approximately 1930 square miles in size (5000 square kilometres) in the south west of Chobe and became well known with the drying up of the Savuti Channel in 1981 and more so for its incredible game viewing opportunities. The pans and pumped water holes become the major attractions during the dry winter months. The area is considered one of the continent's last wild and unspoiled wilderness areas. During the summer months most of the animals move to the fertile Savuti Marsh. The Savuti Marsh area is well known for its coverage in a number of well known wildlife documentaries, especially the National Geographic films by Dereck and Beverly Joubert. It consists of rich grasslands, savannah woodland and a large variety of trees and vegetation.
Game Viewing
The Savuti area is renowned for offering spectacular game viewing opportunities. During the dry season, guests can expect to see Savuti's famous resident bull Elephants, antelope and lion prides as well as black-backed jackal, bat-eared fox, tsessebe, kudu, impala, giraffe and ostrich. During the summer months thousands of zebra and antelope species migrate to the area offering fantastic predator viewing including lion, hyena and cheetah. Buffalo herds arrive and migrant birds arrive. Savuti has a resident population of over 300 species.
DumaTau Camp
DumaTau means 'roar of the lion' yet the area is renowned for its massive elephant concentrations and incredible wildlife viewing. DumaTau is situated in the private 125 000-hectare Linyanti Wildlife Reserve which borders the western boundary of Chobe National Park in northern Botswana. DumaTau is situated close to the source of the Savute Channel on one of the many lagoons which makes game drives along the Savute one of the highlights of a stay here.
Guests can enjoy the night sounds of Africa from the comfort of their luxurious rooms, and shower under the stars. The region offers all the habitat diversity to make it a haven for wildlife and is well-known for its elephant concentrations as they congregate along the waterways and lagoons during the dry winter months.

Kings Pool Camp
Kings Pool Camp is located in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, an enormous private concession in the northern part of Botswana, on the western boundary of Chobe National Park. Kings Pool Camp overlooks the Linyanti River and the oxbow-shaped Kings Pool Lagoon, renowned for beautiful sunsets, magnificent scenery and spectacular wildlife. The accommodation at Kings Pool Camp is ultra luxurious with nine spacious bedroom areas, a private plunge pool and outdoor showers.
Raised walkways allow animals to wander freely through the camp to and from the water. The lounge, dining room and pub areas are on expansive raised decks and there is a pool and an open-air 'kgotla' for dining under the stars. The Linyanti area has a large wildlife resource with a wide variety of species, but it is most noted for its large elephant population. Predators include lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and spotted hyena.

Kwando Lagoon Camp
Kwando Lagoon Camp is situated on the shady banks of the Kwando River among tall and ancient African Ebony and Marula trees. The camp is famous for wild dog viewing; other predators include lion, hyena, leopard and cheetah. Lagoon Camp has gained reputation over the years as one of the most beautiful settings of any safari camp. Lagoon Camp accommodates only 16 guests in luxury safari-style tents each tent overlooking the water.
Morning and evening game drives are accompanied by experienced guides and trackers in open safari vehicles. The area is home to huge herds of elephants and buffalo. There are few places in Africa where such concentrated numbers of these animals exist, especially in the dry season.

Kwando Lebala Camp
Lebala means 'wide open spaces' in the local Setswana language and the scenery in this region is dominated by extensive plains with scattered palms and tree clumps backed by wooded savannas. Lebala Camp is situated 30 kilometers to the south of Lagoon Camp and fronts onto the Linyanti Wetlands. The wetlands and flood plains around Lebala offer a wonderful variety of wildlife with fantastic sightings of elephant, hippo, lechwe, zebra, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, kudu, tsessebe, roan, sable, buffalo and the ever present predators; wild dog, lion, cheetah and hyena.
Lebala offers eight spacious and unique tents each built on a raised teak deck with a private sundeck offering endless views across the floodplains. Lebala is considered as one of the best wilderness camps in Africa with gourmet cuisine, personalized service, incredible game viewing and expert guiding.

Lianshulul Lodge
The beautiful Lianshulu Lodge overlooks the peaceful Kwando River, situated in a remote and private concession in the Caprivi Strip in Namibia rich in history and wildlife. Lianshulu Lodge is built in the heart of the Mudumu National Park beneath a canopy of shady jackalberry and mangosteen trees, on the banks of the Kwando River; dry mixed woodlands stand in complete contrast to the beautiful Kwando wetland ecosystem.

Savuti Camp
Savuti Camp is situated in a secluded part of the Linyanti Concession along the Savute Channel in northern Botswana. In 2008, the Savute Channel once more became a deep, clear waterway offering a home to hippo and aquatic life with varieties of water-birds. With two-thirds of the Channel located in this private concession, guests of Savuti Camp have private and exclusive access to the abundant game in this area.
Savuti Camp offers personal and intimate accommodation in seven spacious tents that are raised off the ground and overlook the Savute Channel's grasslands. Guests can explore and enjoy this beautiful area by means of day and night game drives, guided bush walks and several well-positioned hides for safe, up-close animal viewing. Savuti Camp's 'wood-pile hide' at the waterhole in front of camp is now part of the flowing Savute and famous for spectacular elephant viewing in the drier winter months.

The Selinda Canoe Trail operates from June to October every year and promises guests a traditional and exhilarating safari experience. Zarafa Camp
Zarafa Camp is situated near the Zibadianja Lagoon; formerly known as Zibadianja Camp. Zarafa overlooks the lagoon, the source of the Savute Channel and one of the best game viewing areas on the planet. All of the Chobe wildlife is present at Zarafa with a varied bird and mammal community. Accommodation is luxurious in old safari style tents with the emphasis on offering guests traditional hospitality, privacy and personalized service.
Activities are flexible and the staff at Zarafa will try to suit guests' individual interests and schedule activities accordingly. Early morning, afternoon and night game drives are accompanied by experienced and professional guides. It is a predator-rich reserve including cheetah, wild dog, lion, and leopard. The massive herds of elephant are another highlight while a wide variety of birds, approximately 300 or more can be seen.
